About Manit Farm

Mr. Manit Leungnarumitchai

In 1970s, Manit Farm was originally established by Mr. Manit and Mrs. Wipa Leungnarumitchai. Initially it was set as a catfish farm in Tumbon Sala Ya, Phutthamonthon district, Nakhon Pathom province, but the farm later expanded and finally moved its location to Khao Yoi and Ban Laem district in Petchaburi province, which is the current location of Manit Farm. At the beginning, Mr. Manit started the new farm with Giant Black Tiger shrimp on a 320-hectare farming area before he transformed his production to Tilapia, White shrimp, All-male Tilapia fry, and high quality Tilapia fish feed, and eventually passed his business on to his children, who incorporated modern technology and know-how to transform Manit Farm into a new definition; “Modern Aquaculture”. Manit Farm has its own professional team of specialists to supervise each step of the aquatic animal production. As a result, we have become renowned as one of the most comprehensive aquaculture farm in Thailand. All of our products i.e. Tilapia fry, Red Tilapia fry, and White shrimp seed are produced in compliance with the national standard; GAP (Good Aquaculture Practice) and CoC (Code of Conduct) by Department of Fisheries. Therefore, we can export our products to various destinations around the world e.g. in Asia, Europe, and the United States of America.

Moreover, we established Tilapia Genetics Center, focusing on Tilapia and Red Tilapia selection research and development, aiming to produce the Tilapia fry of high survival rate, high growth rate, and high profitability for our farmers. Manit Farm provides high quality Tilapia and Red Tilapia fry both locally and internationally; exporting fry to neighboring countries e.g. Laos and Malaysia. We have over 1,000 regular customers who trust in our quality products, contributing to over 8,000 hectare of farming area. By our standard and with our commitment and dedication to developing Tilapia fry quality over the past decades, Manit Farm has been awarded as “Outstanding Genetic Management of Tilapia Brood Fish and Farm Management” at a national level from Department of Fisheries on September 21, 2010.
